Sammy, December Pet of the Month
Meet Sammy, the 8th wonder of the world! Sammy is a 6-year-old Maltese, who was rescued when he was a young dog. He has had to deal with more in his 6 years than most dogs do in a lifetime. Sammy is diabetic and epileptic. He also has cataracts and is now unable to see. Sammy also has an autoimmune disorder; this being his biggest concern. Earlier this year Sammy's blood levels got so low that a splenectomy was needed in order to save his life.
Now, Sammy is doing very well. He is back to playing with his favorite ball and his parents could not he more pleased. They call him their energizer bunny. |
