The Koenig Family, October Pet of the Month
Say hello to a wonderful group of kitties. These guys are all special in their own way. They are all very lucky to have such an amazing, caring mother.
Slater is a handsome boy who was found as a stray and given to his owner as a birthday present. He is the man of the house.
Simone was a teeny tiny girl when she was found hiding behind a garbage dumpster. Now she is a not-so-tiny girl and enjoys eating a special weight loss prescription diet. Simone had screening blood work ran a while back just as a health check, and we detected elevated kidney enzymes. She now has blood work checked twice a year to make sure everything is in working order on this big lady.
Annie, aka Little Orphan Annie, was found wandering around Lorraine's Diner near Sun City. She was infested with parasites when she was found (common among stray animals). Annie spent a few weeks here at Riverwalk Animal Hospital while being treated. Her owner wanted to be sure not to infect her other kids. Annie is a perfect addition to this loving family.
Alice and Katie are both American Shorthairs, but could not be more different in personality. Katie is an absolute sweetheart. Unlike Alice, who has never been described as a sweetheart. We are fortunate to receive ample warning before Alice's visits, just to make sure we are on our toes.
All of these cats receive wonderful care. They are kept up-to-date with vaccinations, screening blood work, and heartworm prevention. They are lucky to have such a caring, giving owner. |
