Nessa, July Pet of the Month
Every month we vote for who will be awarded the prestigious honor of
being Pet of the Month. This month our honoree is Nessa Wurtz. Every
month I ask each owner for info on their pet's favorite pastimes, etc.
Here's what Nessa's mom wrote:
Nessa's day starts at 7:15 every morning when she jumps on Mom and
Dad's bed. You don't need an alarm clock with Nessa in the house! She
also brings her Dad the Bluffton Today every morning.
Nessa loves any kind of food -- dog, cat, human . . . anything! She
even taught the other dogs at her foster home to open the dog food
container! Her absolute favorite is a Kong with Peanut Butter.
Nessa loves her walks around the lake, and has to have either Dolly or
Ba-Ba with her. She's the official squirrel chaser of Eagle's Point
Lake and will bark at all alligator's -- real or imaginary. Nessa loves
to play, even though she's not quite sure what to do with a ball or a
Frisbee. She loves to run home across the bridge for the last part of
her walks, especially when her big brother and sister(human) come to
visit.
We adopted Nessa in November '03 from Morningstar Rescue. Windi of
Morningstar and Riverwalk and Louise Murray of Lady's Island took
really good care of her. Louise was her foster mother and still gets to
play with her when we go away for a few days, and we know that the
entire staff at Riverwalk does their very, very best to spoil her when
she comes to visit, it doesn't matter if it is for a few minutes or a
week or more. Nessa loves to visit Riverwalk! |
