Jack (aka Jack Bauer) Benson - September Pet of
the Month
Named after the Star of the TV show "24"
Terrorists Beware!! Jack Is Back!!
Jack is the proud owner and pack leader of Wilma and Bob Benson in the
Riverbend community of Sun City. He was adopted in January 2007 from
Morningstar Animal Rescue & Referral, Inc. of Ridgeland, S.C. He
has brown, brindle short hair, with a white breast and paws, weighs
about 13 lbs. and is believed to be a mix of Tibetan Spaniel, and
perhaps some Pekingese. When hunting squirrels or attacking a squeaky
toy, he acts like his namesake attacking a terrorist group. The squeak
only lasts about 5 minutes. Grrrrrr!!
Actually, although he will defend himself if necessary, Jack appears to
be more of a lover than a fighter. Everyone who sees him is taken by
his size, how cute he is, and the fact that he is fully grown. We
believe him to be close to 2 years old.
He has been trained to come when called, and is presently being trained
to ring a bell when he has the urge to go outside. Most of his day he
can be found perched on the back of our sofa looking out the window to
the backyard and the marsh for anything that moves.
Jack loves all of the folks at the Riverwalk Animal Hospital, who have
taken great care of him. However, beware -- Be good to others, or you
may have to deal with Jack B in the future!!! |
