JD Baumann -
August Pet of the Month
Meet J.D., a 6 year old handsome boy that has used some of
his 9 lives! He was born a farm cat in Missouri but
found his way into a college dormitory at Kansas State University
where he was frequently lassoed by a roommate (yes, that
is lassoed!) J.D> was diagnosed with FIP in 2002
and has had some near death experiences related to this disease
but he’s proved tough, and battled back each time. This
year J.D> had a large tumor removed from his abdomen area
and to speed up the healing process Riverwalk has used a
method called cold laser therapy. His parents bring
him in twice weekly for treatments and the staff always looks
forward to his visits. J.D. is unique in that he likes
to be turned upside down, stretched, spun around and pretend
he’s walking on the ceiling. Happy Pet of the

and Andrew!
