Amy Hodges - May Pet of the Month
“Amy”, a German Shorthaired Pointer, was a pound puppy and thankful to be rescued by Yvonne and Jim. As with a lot of rescues, you soon learn some of their traits, characteristics and little quirks. Amy is one of those that likes to eat just about anything, whether it’s labeled as edible for a dog or not! She came into the clinic one day for vomiting and loss of appetite. We suspected she had eaten something she shouldn’t have, but a barium series could not confirm a blockage. Bloodwork was not conclusive either. The next step was exploratory surgery which revealed part of a bed! Amy is a very lucky dog and has recovered well. This has not slowed her down in the least,
but she is definitely on a “no bed” diet.
Happy Pet of the Month to Amy and her family
