Snip, August Pet of the Month
This big, beautiful boy you see before you is Snip. He is a 17 year-old Domestic Longhair who has one blue eye and one green. Snip was found roaming the North Georgia Mountains when he was younger. He has lived with his grandma now for over 5 years and enjoys sleeping his days away and watching the birds.
Snip came to see us a while back for having some trouble in the litter box. He had started urinating much more frequently than normal, and wasn't able to keep up with the grooming due to his size. After running blood tests, it was determined that Snip was a diabetic. Now he has his glucose monitored and receives insulin injections daily. Snip's owner has done a wonderful job with him. Snip was also put on a diet and has already lost 3 pounds. Go Snip!
