Sparky, June Pet of the Month
Sparky was a very sweet 18 year-old cat when we first met him. He was very thin and very sick. Sparky was diagnosed with chronic renal failure, and started to receive fluid therapy from his parents at home 3-4 times a week to help maintain kidney function. Due to his parents loving care, Sparky enjoyed an extra year of a happy life.
His parents describe him as a good communicator. They always knew exactly what Sparky wanted. Whether it was to be on the couch or time to be fed- Sparky would let you know. He also liked to lie on things, it didn't matter what it was. Sparky had found a piece of brown paper on the floor one day and claimed it as his. It was his bed for many years. He also liked to give his pal Wiley baths as seen in one of the pictures. After a long battle against kidney disease and hypertension, Sparky passed on last month, but he will never be forgotten
